Also, as soon as this character was introduced, I had to ask myself: a female Nonger? I thought they were all about enslavement and rape, and usually women are the first that get that kind of treatment... Then again, maybe she was part of the original population or something. I want to know more about her.

Or maybe she isn't a "she" at all. Maybe it has both parts and the nong are all "I aint sticking me dingo in her shalele" or however you folks would say it lol

The Nong seem to be primarily a group which values usefulness above anything else, see its use human decoys in chapter 2, or Brands attacks on the guy who claimed he had to join up or die.

Lord holds things together with intimidation and a trusted inner circle. The sex should have nothing to do with that. (Also, if she's badass enough to be part of the party that kidnapped Kranburn leader from his own bed, she's probably not someone you should mess with.
